So today I thought I would share with you this lovely story of #PositiviTree from member Magdalena Thomson ...
"Let me tell you a Love Story...
One of those days. Just one of those bleak, crappy, blue days, when your soul is filled with sadness, when you lack direction, when you feel alone, when you feel unloved. Out on a walk. In nature. Looking for solace. Craving a spark to melt the blue ice around my heart. Dragging my feet heavily. What’s ahead? Some old trees. One of them, an oak, growing at an uncomfortable angle, catches my attention.
Inexplicably, instinctively intuitively, I approach it, stroke its rough skin, and after a moment’s hesitation, embrace it. After another moment, my eyes well up, after another, the ice is melting. Faster and faster the tears flow, louder and louder the sobs become. And still I am held, and still I feel the warmth from the core of the oak spreading. And still, amidst the tears and the sobs, my soul calms. Minutes pass, I emerge. I smile. I stroke the oak’s rough skin. I thank him. Then I look down and at the base of the trunk I find this ... "
Some of the comments to Magdalena's Love Story were filled with PositiviTree too as members shared their own uplifting experiences with trees.
Nick Nick Magdalena Thomson I really related to your words. I find myself returning to a favourite beech tree that I love to hug with. She takes me back to a special place and friend from my past.
Georgina Ivory Cowton Some trees feel like grandparents, warm, inviting, caring and non judgemental. So pleased you found this tree at the time you did and hope you're healing ♥️
Elizabeth Daziel Masson I loved seeing this...ty💕 I had a very similar experience, one sad day. I was so very strongly drawn into hugging and communing with a (now favorite) little tree along my daily hiking route. When I released my grip, I stepped back to find a heart shape in the trunk bark. So lovely...touched me deeply. Love and light to you💖🙏✨

Elaine Bedford I love this!... I have a young local oak that I like to visit and share with!.. Beautiful!
Zoë Love Beautiful. I had very similar experience with an old oak myself too. Such wisdom and strength under those boughs. 💚
Lionel Hithersay I’ve been a member of this group for less than two weeks, and the more posts I read, the more I realise how special this group is. I feel truly honored to be part of this group. Thank you
As ever I am touched once again by being able to share in others connections with trees. <3 Connecting with trees on a personal level is a wonderful #ActiviTree to engage in and by doing so we deepen our knowledge both of them and ourselves.
You can plant trees with us!
Many Blessings
